The BioCompact® family includes small and medium sized affordable wastewater treatment plants with a long history. These systems were initally developed in the mid-seventies by Apparatebau Salzkotten, a German corporation. Certain BioCompact® models were approved by the US Coast Guard for use on board ships about 20 years ago.
Our systems are designed to be modular and scalable. When your population grows, so will your BioCompact® system. This avoids large up-front investments.
Examples of application
- Small communities

The first BioCompact® North American land installations were in Mexico starting in 1995. These were then followed by installations in the US in 1999. These units have performed very well.
At the present time, there are more than 3,300 installations worldwide, including Europe, Asia, Latin America, and numerous installations on board of ships.
The BioCompact® units are exceptionally well designed, built, and surface-treated, allowing for a lifetime expectancy of more than 20 years.
